Matt W. Moore Portland, ME based graphic artist Matt W. Moore recently returned from Moscow, Russia, where he exhibited his work at Sretenka Design Week. This latest round of work was created during a residency in Moscow in August 2011. If you were a fan of his older work, you will love this latest series entitled Sun Ray Ricochet. In addition to the color and grey-scale canvases, he also painted three murals, and 17 geometric sculptures. The pieces in the series have prism-like, refractive qualities that often look like optical illusions. I love that he took the same qualities as his paintings and created the three-dimensional sculptures.
